Author's description: Image-Puzzle is a screen saver for MacOS X which computes animated puzzle images (like photomosaic) out of your iPhoto Library. Many preferences can be applied like iPhoto folders, resolution and many animation options. The computed photo puzzles can be exported to iPhoto to order high quality printouts of the puzzles.
Our verdict: Although it may seem a bit pokey, even on a fast Mac, this screensaver is actually fairly fast at creating a photo mosaic. (A photo mosaic is a large poster-sized image made up of thousands of tiny photographs graded by colour). Uses a lot of CPU. Only utilises one core on dual core Intel Macs. Some images in the mosaic seem to repeat dozens of times, even when the source folder consists of thousands of images to choose from.
