Author's description: Tripout is an OpenGL Texture effects screensaver. Tripout doesn't behave nicely on multiple monitors yet.
Our verdict: Another screensaver by the author of Harusbitcation. There are three styles, the default one is pretty good - there is certainly a hypnotic quality to it. The second style is a pentagram one which didn't do much for me, but the third 'Particle Explode' style was my favorite. However it doesn't move, so the center of your screen is always white. This could be a problem on a CRT screen. The Particle Explode style on its own with more configurability and without the problem white spot would rate an extra half star. This screensaver isn't quite the CPU hog that some other savers are. Apart from a good random setting, not very configurable.
